Devon Energy announces board change
OKLAHOMA CITY â Devon Energy Corp. announced that D. Martin Phillips, a managing partner of the EnCap Investments LP, will resign from the companyâs board of directors effective immediately.
The resignation is following a reduction in EnCapâs holdings in Devon through disposition transactions that occurred Feb. 22.
The resignation is consistent with the provisions of a shareholder agreement that permitted EnCap to designate a director if a 10 percent ownership threshold of Devon s outstanding common stock was maintained.
Phillips joined Devonâs board of directors in January by way of the companyâs merger with WPX Energy. Phillips became a member of WPX Energyâs board in 2020.
KENWOOD â The United Keetoowah Band recently purchased the Kenwood grocery store, a long-time community staple, and have plans to upgrade the business to better service the area. It will be known as the Keetoowah General Store.Â
When UKB Councilor Charles Smoke was looking for a space to hold Saline District meetings, he said he looked at a building behind the store for a potential meeting space.
âWeâve been talking to chief (Joe Bunch) about finding a place to have our district meetings for Saline District,â Smoke said. âI seen that building back there and it said for sale. I thought we got a good price so chief was visiting with the former owner. Next thing you know weâre buying the store. So it all worked out good.â
VAALCO Energy announces conference participation
HOUSTON â VAALCO Energy Inc. announced that the company will participate in the Virtual 33rd annual ROTH Conference that will be hosted Monday through Wednesday.
Cary Bounds, chief executive officer, and Elizabeth Prochnow, chief financial officer, will host virtual one-on-one meetings with investors registered for the conference Monday.
A pre-recorded virtual presentation done by Bounds in conjunction with the event will be posted at vaalco.com in the “Investor Relations” section of the site, on the “News and Events” page Monday.
An updated investor slide deck also prepared in conjunction with the ROTH Conference will be posted in the âInvestor Relationsâ section of VAALCOâs website on that same morning.
